Fun in the Sun…from Rising to Setting

I set an alarm to get an early start and enjoyed some time on the balcony before everyone else was awake. It was a slightly breezy and cool morning and I had my coffee and read a book as the sun rose.

We had decided one of our activities on this trip was to visit the Mississippi Aquarium in nearby Gulfport. We were a little concerned about visiting a tourist attraction; however, the aquarium was limiting capacity and we wore our masks (and we are all vaccinated). It was a relatively small aquarium but had informative exhibits and two very delightful otters!

After a quick stop in Old Town Bay St. Louis to visit a bookstore, we retuned to the house for lunch and some down time. Mid afternoon, we went across the road to the beach. The beach in this area doesn’t compare to the white sands and clear water down in the panhandle of Florida but the weather was amazing and I even played catch football with Abby and Trever!

Tonight was our cooking night and Trever grilled steaks, scallops, asparagus and bread. We didn’t take our chances with the little biting bugs this evening and ate indoors.

After dinner, we took a drive to try and catch the sunset but were a little late. However, we did get some truly terrible ice cream blasts at Sonic in Pass Christian (10/10 would NOT recommend) and ended the evening playing a new card game.
