Room by Room – Living and Dining

Christmas 2020

When last we left our virtual tour of my holiday decorations, we had seen the master bedroom and bathrooms. Now we move on to what is basically the main area of the house – the living room/dining/kitchen.

All the pets’ stockings hung in a row.
Snowman Corner!
Some of these Santas were gifts but most were acquired at flea markets or thrift stores.

The tree – to be revealed later – is the focal point of our living space but every other surface is decorated as well!

An impish elf that we named Peppermint Jazz was our version of Elf on the Shelf after we got him a couple of years ago. We got him a brother this year that we named Noel!

A sneak peak of one of this villages is on the cart below the china cabinet, featuring stockings which my mom cross stitched for each of the girls when they were babies.

In years past, I have put ornaments, snowmen, or other things up on top of the kitchen cabinets with the garland, but they all too often would fall or not be easily seen. So we just stuck with the garland this year.

That’s all for now….tree and villages to come!
