Advent – Day 2
“…more deliveries won’t fix us. But deliverance can.”
I’m a gift giver. I love to plan, and shop and give gifts to those I love. So, especially this year with all the online shopping, I get a LOT of packages delivered.
But in this season of Advent, as I slow down and try to think of things I can be delivered FROM, I believe that the comparisons of Christmas pasts is at the top of the list. Things are different this year, and allowing ourselves to be released from the emotional expectations of years past can make room for a more genuine and full Christmas present.
