Advent Word/Day 27

We often hear the term “restore my faith in humanity” when a person witnesses compassion or kindness in the world around them. But I have found myself in the last few years “restoring my faith in faith.” After my cancer diagnosis ten years ago, I began a slow slog back to the faith of my youth, but my more recent years of deconstructing that faith have also been a study in restoration….sometimes tearing those beliefs down to the studs in order to rebuild them into the truest version of Christianity.

Restorations take time, patience, and work. And this season of expectation and anticipation is the perfect time to restore your “faith in your faith” even if it has been broken down and worn.
