The Pie Table

Although Thanksgiving was different for everyone this year, it was especially different for us. It was the first time we had done Thanskgiving at our home in – well, ever! We only had our immediate family and my mom (she is in our family bubble) and one friend of Sarah’s. We ate outdoors – after a cool and cloudy start to the day, the weather turned off beautiful!

We had quite a spread of food! I ordered a turkey from Popeye’s and bought a pecan pie, but we made everything else. Cranberry sauce, twice baked potatoes, sweet potato wedges, sauteed apples, corn casserole, green bean casserole, pumpkin and cherry pies. My mom brought deviled eggs, bread dressing, and green bean bundles. Earlier in the day, we had the parade on and later watched the dog show. It wasn’t a typical day but I am grateful for our time together.
